The Catechist Sisters of St. Ann, Hyderabad, trace their spiritual heritage to the visionary Servant of God, Silvio Pasquali. His untiring zeal to save souls, compassion for the marginalized, and commitment to social justice led to the founding of our congregation in 1914.
Our Charism: “To spread the light of Christ.”
We serve through:
As a pontifical congregation, we currently serve in two provinces with 85 communities across nine Indian states: Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Odisha, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and Karnataka (Mysuru and Bangalore). Our mission also extends internationally to Tanzania, Italy, USA, Germany, and Malawi.
We administer 70 educational institutions, 9 colleges, 15 hostels, 7 hospitals, 10 social service centers, 2 homes for the aged, 68 old age support schemes, and 34 charitable projects. Nearly 60,000 students are being served in our educational institutions in India and abroad.
Elected Pope in 1903, St. Pius X embraced the motto “Restore all things in Christ.” He was a model priest, a wise bishop, a humble cardinal, and a zealous pope. Known as the “Pope of the Eucharist,” he reformed the decrees on Holy Communion and was deeply devoted to the poor, the sick, and the marginalized.
Education is a sacred service—an act of self-giving and liberation. St. Pious X School, Mysuru, embodies this spirit with the following:

The establishment of St. Pious X School is a historic milestone for our congregation. It fulfils our long-cherished dream of having a school within the campus of Prashanthi Convent, Mysuru.
Our congregation has been offering value-based education from K.G. to P.G. across India and abroad. Recognizing the importance of scientific research for national development, we have recently ventured into research and technology in Hyderabad and Guntur (A.P.).
With the launch of St. Pious X School under the CBSE curriculum, we aim to serve a broader community in Mysuru and surrounding villages. To realize this vision, we continue to work towards expanded space and improved infrastructure for holistic human resource development.
St. Pious X School stands as a testament to the firm dedication of the Catechist Sisters of St. Ann to education and empowerment through God-centered values. It marks not just the beginning of a new institution, but a beacon of hope for generations to come.
